We describe with step-by-step instructions how companies can use the Claims Reporting Platform to successfully submit a VCMI Claim.
Process to submit a VCMI claim
Background
Once a company has assessed whether it meets the requirements to make a VCMI Claim, as outlined in the Claims Code of Practice and Monitoring, Reporting & Assurance (MRA) Framework, it can submit this information to the VCMI Claims Reporting Platform.
All submitted information will be verified to assess compliance with VCMI requirements to make the selected Claim (Carbon Integrity Platinum, Gold, or Silver).
Following this verification process, companies that have successfully demonstrated they meet all the requirements will be given access to the appropriate branding assets and guidelines to make a VCMI Claim and share it with the world!
When submitting information to make a Claim on the Reporting Platform, companies will have to substantiate the information with evidentiary documentation such as publicly available company reports or a company website.

Guide to using the Claims Reporting Platform
- Step 1: To access the VCMI Claims Reporting Platform, click here.
- Step 2: Click on ‘Register Now’ in the sign-up page.
- Step 3: You will receive an email indicating that you have successfully registered. Please click on the link in the email to complete the registration process. (Note if the email does not appear in your inbox, please check your junk email.)
- Step 4: Once logged in to the platform, please select the relevant submission form to fill. This will take you to the questions to be filled.
- Step 5: Please submit your responses including weblinks and documents where appropriate.
- Step 6: Once you confirm you are happy with your responses, click ‘submit’.
- Step 7: You will receive an automated email from VCMI to confirm receipt of your submission. The information submitted will be verified to ensure it meets all requirements to make a VCMI Claim.
- Step 8: Once the verification process is complete and it has been determined your organization has meet all requirements to make a claim, you will receive a congratulatory email from VCMI including a link to the claim branding assets and guidelines.
