Paul Bockmeyer

Paul is Policy Officer at BEUC, the European Consumer Organization, in Brussels, where he is responsible for the work on the substantiation of green claims and the fight against greenwashing. He notably follows relevant EU legislative files, in particular the recently published proposal for a Directive on green claims, and contributes to BEUC’s enforcement actions in this field.

Prior to joining BEUC, Paul worked at the General Secretariat of the Council of the EU on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and interned at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin, working on bilateral relations with Southern Europe. He holds a Master of Arts in European Affairs from Sciences Po Lille and a Master’s in International and European Governance from the University of Münster.
