Mark Jacobs
Mark Jacobs serves on the VCMI Secretariat as lead for the Expert Advisory Group and non-corporate stakeholder engagement. Mark is an Affiliate with the Meridian Institute. Based in Berkeley, California, Mark has 25 years of experience in collaborative process design and facilitation, environmental protection, and nonprofit leadership.
Mark has served as a process designer, facilitator, and non-profit executive. As the Founding Executive Director of the New York City-based Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life from 1994 to 2003, Mark played a pivotal role in engaging the American Jewish community in environmental protection and providing leadership to interfaith environmental alliances. Between 2008 and 2015, he worked as a Senior Mediator and Program Manager at Meridian. He also has served as the Associate Director of an urban community farm and education center.
