On 28 November 2023, The Voluntary Carbon Market Integrity Initiative (VCMI) will unveil additional guidance for its Claims Code of Practice, enabling companies to make credible claims about their use of high-quality carbon credits.
To celebrate the launch of this additional guidance, VCMI will be hosting a virtual media briefing, ‘Ambition, Assurance, and Accessibility in the VCMI Claims Code: How corporates can make credible climate claims’, which will be taking place at 16:00 GMT on 27 November with all discussed under EMBARGO until 00:01 GMT, 28th November. You can register here to secure your place.
The event will run through the additional guidance, which includes a Monitoring, Reporting and Assurance (MRA) Framework, the new branding and mark for VCMI Silver, Gold, and Platinum Claims and details on additional Claims. There will also be a presentation on how companies can now make high-integrity claims using the VCMI Claims Code of Practice and significantly contribute towards Paris Agreement goals.
