VCMI at London Climate Action Week 2026

The VCMI team is looking forward to attending London Climate Action Week 2026 where we will be participating in and speaking at various events.
London Climate Action Week (LCAW) brings together leaders from government, business, finance, and civil society to accelerate climate action and advance practical solutions for a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy, with a strong focus on collaboration, policy development, and scaling high-integrity carbon markets.
The VCMI team will participate to contribute to these discussions and help shape the future of credible carbon markets, with Mark Kenber, Executive Director, taking on multiple key roles across the programme, including delivering remarks, speaking on panels, and hosting a high-level Coalition session alongside VCMI Chair Usha Rao-Monari, who will also speak at a senior-level event.

Scaling Carbon Markets: A Public-Private Agenda for Decarbonization, Nature, and Innovation
Hosted by World Economic Forum and KPMG | Usha Rao-Monari will speak
This session convenes leaders from public and private carbon market coalitions to ensure carbon markets evolve as credible tools for competitiveness, innovation, resilience, and nature protection.
Carbon markets are increasingly being reframed as a strategic tool to accelerate decarbonisation, mobilise private capital, and support nature and competitiveness goals amid constrained public finance. Yet scale remains limited by fragmented policy signals, uncertainty around credit quality, and weak buyer confidence. This session provides a platform for governments, corporates, and market coalitions to exchange lessons, address barriers, and identify practical pathways to scale high-integrity carbon markets.
Attendance to this event is by invite only.
