Brad Schallert
Brad has more than 15 years’ experience in the field of climate change. In addition to serving as a Special Advisor to VCMI, Brad works as the Director of Net Zero Climate Services at Winrock International. Brad’s particular areas of expertise within the climate field are aviation and climate; carbon credit markets; climate policy design; and voluntary corporate climate strategies. Prior to Winrock, Brad spent 10 years at WWF where he led WWF’s work on aviation, carbon markets, and helped launch cross-departmental projects including We Are Still In in 2017.
Brad is the co-creator of the Carbon Credit Quality Initiative and authored or co-authored several publications while at WWF, including the WWF/BCG Corporate Climate Mitigation Blueprint. He has served as an advisor to the Task Force for Scaling the Voluntary Carbon Market and currently serves on Science-Based Target Initiative’s Technical Advisory Group and as a member observer to the AIM Platform. Brad holds an MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, as well as a BA in International and Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his family.
